RESET HIGHER: When some of us think about Jesus at Christmas, we think of Him as a baby in a manger in a nativity scene – then go back to decorating and shopping. It’s just another year…I’ve heard the story many times now…I’ll even go to church…now let’s eat and open presents!

Whether you’re a non-believer, a new believer, or someone who’s been a Christian for as long as you can remember, let’s think together about who Jesus truly is. This was no ordinary baby. Yes, He was born in Bethlehem, grew to be a man, but in addition to being fully human He also was – and isGOD!

“The Word (Jesus) became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14 (NIV)

The Holy Bible tells us that God is three in one, the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Jesus is God the Son. As we read in the Gospel of John 1:1-4 (NIV):

“In the beginning was the Word (Jesus), and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.”

The baby in the manger was also the Almighty Creator.

He came to die on the cross, shedding His blood to pay the price for your sins and mine as the one and only way we can be saved and given the gift of eternal life. But we must believe and receive it.

Merry CHRISTmas!
